Hatted Soldier Figurative Tobacco Jar. A German early 20th century tobacco jar, made in the shape of a soldier’s head, with the white cap top being the lid.
Round holes behind his moustaches (not sure what these are for., maybe to hold a taper?). Jar measures 11 cm high (about 4.1/2 inches) and 10 cm wide (4 inches). Excellent condition.

Large Heavy Sterling Silver Cigarette Case. Hallmarked for Chester 1924, this heavy sterling silver cigarette case would also be ideal to carry business cards or credit cards. Gilded inside, with restrainers to both internal sides. Maker’s mark "T & S". Outer is decorated with engine-turned engraving, and is also engraved in one corner with the ornate initials - can’t make them out, but there’s an A in there somewhere! Overall excellent condition, with a few shallow uneven patches on the lids. Weight: 230 grms. Measurements: 14.25cm by 85cm and 2cm thick (5.5/8 inches by 3.3/8 inches and 3/4 inch thick).

Sterling Silver 1940 Cigarette Case. A suitable size for business or credit cards, this sterling silver cigarette case is very Art Deco in appearance. Engine-turned engraving with a blank initials panel. Measures 11.5cm by 8.75cm and 1cm thick (4.1/2 inches by 3.3/8 inches and 6/16 inch thick). Excellent condition, even the gilded interior. Hallmarked for Birmingham, 1940. Maker’s mark: H Brothers.

Sterling Silver Cigarette Box, 1936. Classic English sterling silver cigarette box - engine turned engraving on lid, with Art Deco style corner detailing. Edge with engraving of scrolls. Front initials: T. G. P. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1936.
The inside is wood lined. Maker’s mark: C & G & Co.
Measures 4 cm high, and 16 cm by 11 cm (1.1/2 inches high, and 6.1/4 inches by 4.1/2 inches). Very good condition overall, with some minor small dents to the surface.

Sterling Silver Cigarette Case, 1922. A nicely shaped sterling silver cigarette case hallmarked Birmingham (England) 1922. It has engine turned engraving of stripes and grid. The central circular engraving panel bears the initials “E.C.” Corners are chamfered, and interior still retains some of the gilt wash used in these cases. The restrainer band is a little limp, but is easily replaced with elastic. Case measures 8cm square (3.1/4 inches). In very good condition externally.

Meerschaum & Amber Cigarette or Cigar Holder Early 20th century cigar or cigarette holder in its original velvet-lined case. The holder end is white meerschaum, and the stem is amber. Total length is 6.4 cm (2.1/2 inches). Internal diameter of end of holder is 1.1 cm (7/16 inch), so made to hold a large cigarette or those skinny cigars that were popular back then. Excellent condition.

Chinese Silver Triple Expanding Cigarette Box Made by Zee Woo, this unusual cigarette box is made in Chinese export silver. It folds to a cube, but unfolds to reveal three gilt-washed trays with restraining bands. The mark is Z.W with the silver mark being in Chinese characters. Weight is approx. 500 grams.
Box folded and closed measures 6.2 cm high by 9.7 cm deep by 11 cm wide (2.7/16 inch by 3.3/4 inches by just over 4.1/4 inches).
It has a little age spotting to the interior but overall is in excellent condition.
Circa: Early part of 20th Century

Vintage Briar Pipe, Silver Band. A briar pipe, with “Wing Commander” stamped on one side of the bowl, and “Made in England” on the other. The stem has “Dr. John” stamped on it, and the sterling silver band is hallmarked for London 1950. Maker’s mark in the silver is “H.P. & S.” Straight stem. Excellent condition. Has been used. Measures 16cm long (6.1/4 inches).

Vintage Steeles Briar Pipe. A Steele’s straight stem pipe, briar wood bowl, Marked "Pat. No. 8384". The underneath of the bowl has a hole drilled in it (perhaps the cause of the Patent?) and a corresponding tiny metal tube inside the pipe bowl. Very nice pipe, just a few chews to the stem, but in very good condition. Measures 15.3cm long (6 inches).
